EiE PARENT SEMINAR SERIES WEDNESDAY APRIL 25, 2012 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm HOMESCHOOLING OUTSIDE THE BOX PART 2 GRADES K-6 Last month we discussed the "why" of homeschooling outside the box. Unfortunatley we were not able to spend time on the "how." Join us on the 25th as we will be introducing the various techniques, concepts,and activities to prepare your family to homeschool in a way that will be successful and fun without the complexity and restrictions of typical "school at home" methods. This will be a great "how" seminar! Again, our seminars are very audience interactive and you will have ample time to ask questions as well as share your experiences. We encourage you to take the time and participate in this important seminar. This will be a fun evening as we present the various options that will make your homeschool experience more successful while having fun. Everyone is welcome! Please email or call us to inform us of your anticipated attendance so we can better prepare to serve you. A voluntary suggested donation of $5.00 per family would be appreciated! We will have a donation bucket at the seminar. We are offering all participants a 20% discount on all new books and games that can be purchased at our store. |
YAO is a group of young artists from different disciplines, exploring the world of the arts. One of the goals is a better understanding of the commonalities in the arts which leads to a better understanding of the artists. Through the use of collaborative activities, they are being exposed to a variety of different disciplines within the world of the arts. Through a variety of resources including community resources, libraries, museums, concerts, classes, events and volunteering they will learn teamwork, networking, how to create their own projects, and how art can change the world. You are invited to participate in this exciting and new opportunity at EiE! Youth Arts Outreach has three levels of participation:
interested in learning more about the arts and the cultivation of a passion in this area. Class meets on Mondays 11:00-12:00. Cost is $40.00 per month. Apprentice Is a level for the student who has a foundation in the arts but isn't quite ready for the Professional Team yet. This is the perfect level for students to hone in on their individual passions and expertise in the arts. Class meets on Fridays 1:30 -2:30. Cost is $45.00 per month. Professional These are the students who have a demonstrated talent, love and drive for the arts and are ready to take on community based programs and projects at an advanced level. This is the highest level of participation in the YAO program. This level is by invitation only and requires the presentation of a portfolio. Class meets on Fridays 2:30 - 3:30.
