SPECIAL NEEDS SUPPORT GROUP

MEET AND GREET MEETING
THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 3, 2015
7:00 - 9:00 PM

Our Special Needs Support Group will be meeting on the first Thursday of each month during the school year.  This year we will be
showing various DVD's from Texas Christian University in great areas of interest like attachment issues, sensory integration,
separation and other topics of great interest to special need families.  Of course we will have a nice social component to provide all
families with a support system.

This meeting will be a meet and greet session as well as a planning session to create a support group to meet the groups needs.
There are no fee's related to this support group.

Tuesday September 1, 2015
10:30 - 11:30

Did you know there are 17 visual skills that are important for reading and writing?  Many children
struggle because they have a difficulty in one or more of those skills, even if they have 20/20 eyesight.
Most children diagnosed with ADHD or dyslexia have an undiagnosed visual problem.  Dr. Karen Chao
will explain vision, how it differs from eyesight and how visual skills impact reading and writing.

Space is limited so please phone us at (626) 821-0025
or email us at eiefieldtrips@gmail.com to reserve a seat if at all possible.

EXCITING CLASS OFFERINGS FOR 2015-16

We are thrilled to include many unique and wonderful classes in our line up for next.  Besides the normal academic classes (Math, Writing, Science, etc.)
EiE is offering a large selection of exploratory classes often known as electives.  Don't forget, according to John Taylor Gatto Harvard rejects 85% of
valedictorians.  You might ask why?  Most of these academic students with great grades in the core subjects have no life or interests outside of Math,
Science and History.
This is why EiE strongly believes in classes that expand your abilities and interests.  In following that philosophy
please take a look at some of our  rather interesting and fun classes:

Nutrition 101                           DEBATE
U.S. Government                   Economics
Psychology                             Sociology                                     Opera, The Class
ASL II                                       Beginning Genealogy                 Wood Working (With real power tools)
Scale Model Making            CHESS                                          Kids-Teen On-Camera Acting Class
Foundations of Drawing      Music Theory                               Kniting - Crochet
Sewing

Be sure to check out our class offerings for a list and description of all classes offered for the 2015-16 school year.

inexpensive manipulatives to make math much easier for your child.  For parents of all children in grades K-4 and
struggling learners grades 3-8.   This is a FREE event.
